How to Remove Silly Putty

Silly Putty – it’s fabulous and fun – but wait until your child leaves it on the carpet. Then in runs the dog, the neighborhood kids and Dad – whose feet and paws all seem to gravitate toward the silly putty. What is left is a strange mixture of carpet fuzz and melted goo – seemingly impossible to get out. We have tried detergents, ice, stain removers – even WD-40, but to no avail. That is, until we discovered the magic of plain old rubbing alcohol! Generously soak a bit of dish towel in rubbing alcohol and rub it on the ground in silly putty – and watch the silly putty magically melt away!
