Lawn Care – When is it Time to Water?

Always water your lawn between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. when evaporation is at a minimum. Water for about fifteen minutes in each area, but a bit longer for clay soil.

Soak your lawn once a week. If you only water for short periods of time, you will have a shallow root system. A good soaking will help those roots to grow deeper.

A quick test to see if your lawn needs watering? Take a walk across it and look behind you. If there are footprints, it is definitely time for a good watering. If your grass bounces back, your lawn is watered well.
